Bali has loads of great breakfast spots, whether you want something hearty, something fresh and healthy, or just a strong coffee and a decent feed to fuel you for the day ahead. And if the night before got a little out of hand, plenty of places can help ease that hangover away too.
We’re stretching breakfast right through to brunch for this guide, because we know you’re not all early risers, especially after a night on the tiles. 24 Best Breakfast Spots In Bali:
- Bali’s breakfast scene is incredibly varied, with everything from local dishes and healthy bowls to big cooked breakfasts and long, lazy brunches.
- Some of our favourite spots in Canggu include The Avocado Factory, CRATE Cafe and Milk & Madu, while Monsoon at FINNS is a great choice for brunch in Canggu.
- Seminyak, Ubud, Uluwatu and Sanur all have excellent cafes too, so there are plenty of options around Bali.
- Whether you want a quick Bali breakfast before hitting the beach or somewhere to settle in for the morning, there’s something for pretty much everyone.
Monsoon @ FINNS Beach Club – Canggu

OK, so this is definitely more of a brunch spot than a breakfast one; FINNS doesn’t even open until 11 am! But that said, if you didn’t leave before midnight the night before, you probably won’t be out much earlier than that anyway.
Monsoon doesn’t have a traditional brunch menu. Instead, you can basically build your own, picking whatever takes your fancy from a huge menu covering cuisines from around the world. Sushi for breakfast? Why not? Pizza before midday? Nobody’s judging.
There are sweet treats and desserts too, and you’re not limited to where you eat; in fact, food can be ordered from pretty much every corner of the venue.
Then, once you’re fed, you’re already exactly where you need to be for a day of sun, swimming and lounging around by the pool. Stick around for sunset over the Indian Ocean, and there’s every chance brunch will turn into another night at FINNS.

Sisterfields – Seminyak

Sisterfields brings a little slice of Australian cafe culture to the heart of Seminyak, and it’s been one of the area’s go-to morning spots for years. It opens at 7 am, so unlike our first entry, this one really is breakfast.
The menu covers pretty much every mood. Go healthy with an acai berry bowl or smashed avo, tuck into the Full Breaky with eggs, bacon, mushrooms and roast tomatoes, or go all out with the chocolate brioche French toast. There are pancakes, eggs Benedict and breakfast sandwiches too.
Coffee is pretty serious here, with everything from flat whites and piccolo to cold and frozen coffees. Sisterfields is popular, though, and brunch is walk-in only, so you may have to wait for a table when it’s busy.

Livingstone – Petitenget

Livingstone has been serving freshly baked goodies in Petitenget since 2014, and the bakery side of things is a big reason to come here. Their croissants are something of a signature, baked fresh each morning alongside plenty of other breads, cakes and pastries.
If you want a proper sit-down breakfast, there’s plenty more than baked goods. You can go for something filling like the Baker’s Big Breakfast, or keep things sweeter with a French-style pastry treat. There are lighter options too, including fruit and avocado dishes.
And then there’s the coffee. Livingstone takes it seriously, with three house blends, including one made using beans grown right here in the Kintamani highlands.

Revolver Espresso – Seminyak

Revolver started life as a tiny cafe tucked away in Seminyak back in 2012, and despite becoming one of the island’s best-known names for coffee, it still remains a bit of a hidden gem.
Coffee is still very much at the heart of the place, with its own roastery and some seriously good Arabica beans going into every cup. But you don’t have to survive on caffeine alone. Revolver has plenty to eat too, with eggs, toast, breakfast burgers and plenty of lighter options if you’re trying to behave yourself.
This original location still has plenty of character too. It’s a good shout when you want a decent feed and some seriously good coffee in Bali before heading out for the day.

KYND Community – Seminyak

If you like your breakfast colourful, KYND certainly delivers. The Petitenget cafe is hard to miss with its bright pink decor, and the food follows much the same theme, with some seriously photogenic plates coming out of the kitchen.
Smoothie bowls have always been one of KYND’s biggest things, with acai and tropical fruit options topped with fresh fruit and house-made granola. But there’s plenty more on the menu, from avo toast and a big breakfast to dishes with eggs or scrambled tofu.
And if you’re feeling thirsty, there are some sneaky “brunch cocktails” on the menu too. We like the Bloody Mary here, and judging by how many we see going out, we’re definitely not alone.
KYND is plant-forward rather than completely vegan these days, with a small number of vegetarian dishes using free-range eggs and dairy. It opens at 7:30 am, and the morning menu is available right through until 5 pm.

Brunch Club – Legian

The first thing you’ll probably notice at Brunch Club is the pancakes. Their famous Porncakes are ridiculously thick and fluffy, take up to 30 minutes to prepare, and come piled with everything from crème brûlée and New York cheesecake toppings to crispy bacon and maple syrup.
It’s not all Porncakes though; the menu is actually huge. There’s a big breakfast, smashed avocado, granola, frozen fruit bowls and a brekkie burger, along with waffles, sandwiches and plenty of coffee…and even some cocktails.
Still, the Porncakes are what made this place famous, and they’re what bring many there in the first place. They’re completely over the top, but that’s rather the point.

The Avocado Factory – Canggu

If you hadn’t already guessed, avocados are the star of the show here. The Avocado Factory opened in 2017 as the island’s first avocado bar, and pretty much everything on the menu finds some way of squeezing them in.
Breakfast choices range from avo toast and eggs to smoothie bowls and some much bigger plates if you wake up hungry. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too, and the focus is very much on fresh, healthy food rather than your traditional fry-up.
You’ll find it just off Batu Bolong in Canggu, surrounded by rice fields and greenery. It opens at 7 am, so it’s also a good one for early risers wanting to get fed before the day gets going.

The menu is packed with CRATE’s own creations, including the Wuddup Toastie with bacon, eggs and cheese, the Veto with smashed avo, poached eggs and feta, and the Barber with scrambled eggs, bacon and sourdough. There are also plenty of lighter choices, including fresh fruit and some more substantial protein-packed options.
It’s simple, filling cafe food served in generous portions, and a good choice when you want a proper feed without spending a fortune.

Breakfast covers all the classics, including smashed avo and breakfast burritos, alongside lighter options. There’s coffee, fresh juices and smoothies too, plus cocktails if your morning is heading in that direction.
It can get pretty busy, especially around the usual brunch hours, but the large space and family-friendly setup make Milk & Madu an easy option when you’re eating with a group.

Bread Yard – Seminyak

Bread Yard is part bakery, part cafe, and the bread and pastries are all made in-house. Croissants are folded and baked fresh each morning, alongside sourdough, brioche and plenty of sweet pastries, so it’s a good choice if you’re happy with something simple and a coffee.
There’s plenty more on offer too. The Breakfast Yard is the big option, while other choices include smoked salmon rosti, burrata on toast, avocado toast and fried chicken with waffles. Recent visitors are particularly complimentary about the croissants and sourdough.
Coffee, smoothies, fresh juices and house-made kombucha cover the morning drinks, and there are cocktails available if the mood starts drifting towards lunch.

The all-day menu includes a halloumi breakfast with soft-boiled eggs, kale and avocado, as well as a big breakfast loaded with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, sweet potato and sourdough. You can swap the eggs for scrambled tofu to make that one vegan.
There’s also a good selection of bowls, fresh juices and coffee, with everything served in a leafy, open-air setting that suits a slow morning rather nicely.

Nourish does exactly what the name suggests, with plenty of fresh, healthy choices on the menu, but it isn’t exclusively for the clean-eating crowd. You can just as easily order a Big Brekkie with bacon, eggs, hash brown and sourdough if that’s more your thing.
Other breakfast options include baked skillet eggs, corn fritters with poached eggs and the Nourish Benny. There’s also overnight oats and chia pudding, with plenty of plant-based choices throughout the menu.
The cafe opens at 7 am, making it a nice early stop before heading to the beaches or spending the day exploring Uluwatu.

There’s smashed avo, eggs Benedict, shakshuka and truffle scrambled eggs, along with the Big Breaky, loaded with bacon, eggs, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato and sourdough. For something sweeter, there are blueberry pancakes, smoothie bowls, chia pudding and freshly baked croissants.
There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too, while the coffee is made using beans sourced from across Indonesia. Breakfast runs until 3 pm, so late risers are well catered for too.

Gooseberry French Restaurant – Bingin, Uluwatu

Gooseberry brings a bit of French influence to breakfast in Bingin, with a menu that’s quite different from the places we’ve covered so far. The restaurant itself is lovely too, with indoor seating and a leafy outdoor area overlooking the pool.
Savoury choices include potato waffles with house-cured salmon and hollandaise, a green omelette with asparagus and ricotta, steak and eggs, and a croque monsieur with braised ham and Gruyère.
The sweet side is just as tempting, with French toast, croissant pudding and soufflé-style pancakes with blueberry compote. There’s also an açaí bowl and fresh fruit if you want to keep things lighter.
Gooseberry opens at 8 am, so nice and early if you have an activity-filled day up ahead.

The current breakfast menu includes the Sunrise, a big plate of eggs, bacon, mushrooms, avocado, hash brown and sourdough. There are Turkish eggs with chilli oil and garlic yoghurt, a house-cured salmon bagel, and a Japanese breakfast bowl with salmon, brown rice, quinoa and vegetables.
It’s a nice mix of familiar Western favourites and Asian-inspired dishes, and there are plenty of lighter choices if you don’t fancy a huge plate first thing in the morning.

Morning choices include eggs, omelettes, pancakes, and fresh fruit, with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. You’ll also find local dishes on the menu, which makes Clear a nice addition to a list that inevitably contains a lot of Aussie-style cafes.

The all-day breakfast menu means you can eat well beyond the usual morning hours, with eggs, bacon, avocado, fresh fruit and lighter options available. There’s decent coffee too, alongside fresh juices and smoothies.
Biku is also well known for its afternoon teas, so there’s plenty of reason to come back later if you enjoy your morning visit.
